Covid sucks, stronger positive today so no hope of placement in the morning. Backs really sore and head very full, hopefully better after sleep ! 🤧😷🤒

@SparrowRad Oh, I have loads of stories from placement. From being told 'you are selfish for doing this with young children' to 'how do you concentrate without thinking about your kids?' One time, I actually cried in the bathroom 😂

Why are people so curious about how I manage to do placement and have children? Would they be asking my husband the same thing..? 🧐

@ben_imaging @gibsonc85 Female staff mostly - lots of well who looks after the kids then?! Comments 😅 I said I had rugby after work and they said my husband must be saint 🫠

@SparrowRad No, probably not. People as in patients, other students or placement staff? I wonder how often @gibsonc85 was asked.

Last week something special happened - I joined a new rugby team and after a season away I have gotten stuck back into a sport that I adore. So much joy to my life already. I stopped playing for fear It would be selfish to have rugby and radiography.

Not work but still at the hospital today for tooth extraction under anaesthetic. We had to leave the house at 9am because he was so anxious. We have been to the Dino museum and bought football. Now waiting outside the ward (not allowed in til 12.45 🫠)

@SRad_Bekki Really hard, plus the air con/fans, drills, machines beeping, it’s really tricky. It sounds silly but I feel like it’s easier to disclose being hard of hearing and I think that’s what I will say next time “I struggle with hearing please shout to me”

@SRad_Bekki Absolutely the same in theatre it’s really hard to hear. I think next time I might ask them to say one specific word and speak up because I cannot hear at all xx
