It is becoming aptly clear that an entire organized fake news campaign is been run to stop India achieve Energy Self Sustainance in long run! Those who claimed that -" Ethanol Blended Petrol " resulted in their cars been halted midway have been caught lying! The response of Toyota the other day; & now with experts arriving at consensus that consciously motivated individuals are trying to spread misinformation by using adulterated fuel! Only fact is Ethanol Blended Petrol reduces carbon emission; improves accelaration in the long run. Mileage is a component of many factors; & there is no large drop in mileage. Ethanol Blended Petrol helps farmers; & benefits India's middle class!

GOVT RULES OUT PURE PETROL, E10; E20 TO REMAIN INDIA’S STANDARD FUEL The Centre has said it will not offer consumers a choice between pure petrol, E10 and E20. According to the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, maintaining three parallel petrol grades across India’s fuel distribution network would be operationally complex, costly, and would undermine the significant investments already made in ethanol production and blending infrastructure.

@pradip103 The government keeps citing Brazil, but ignores the biggest difference: Brazil built a flex-fuel ecosystem that gave consumers a choice. why should I be forced to use E20? It's my vehicle, my money, and my choice. Offer E0, E10, and E20, and let consumers decide.

@being_ab99 @PIB_India i m not fan of e20 but this math is rigged. It fakes a 20% mileage drop, pretending ethanol provides zero energy. Real E20 mileage only drops ~7% (14kmpl). For 1000km, you need 71.4L of E20. Since it's 80% petrol, that's 57.1L of actual petrol. It saves 9.5L of crude!

Are our vehicles their ministries ke "Baap ka Maal"! Till yesterday Nitin Gadkari ji was challenging us get one person just one who is affected by E20-blended petrol ? What if the vehicle has aged parents, young kids or a pregnant women or just you & it breaks down! What about the inconvenience? #EthanolScam

STORY | E20 may cut mileage by up to 5% but offers cleaner combustion, energy security benefits: Oil Ministry Petrol blended with 20 per cent ethanol (E20) can reduce fuel economy by 3-5 per cent in some vehicles, the Oil Ministry said on Friday, but argued the impact is outweighed by benefits, including a higher octane rating, superior anti-knock characteristics, faster combustion, better pickup, smoother acceleration, cleaner engine operation, and lower lifecycle carbon emissions. In a detailed question-and-answer document issued to counter criticism of the Ethanol Blended Petrol Programme, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas said E20 was a "cleaner, higher-quality and more efficient fuel" than E10 or pure petrol and had been rolled out only after years of scientific testing, consultations with automobile manufacturers and the expansion of domestic ethanol production. The ministry rejected concerns that the programme had been implemented too quickly, saying India's ethanol blending initiative dates back to pilot projects launched in 2001, with 5 per cent blending introduced in parts of the country by 2006.
