The council members that we need to vote out next election are Peck, Jackson, Evanz-Shabazz, Flickinger, Huffman, Castillo, Martinez, Castex-Tatum, Ramirez, Davis, Carter, and Alcorn. And of course John Whitmire. None of them have the spine to stand up to Abbott.

Part of the problem I think is the length - each ad is running way too long with interminable "bits" from the hosts. Don't ad lib your ads. Just read the dang copy.

Podcast advertising is getting out of control. A Headgum pod I like had 6 minutes 45 seconds of ads just at the beginning, not to mention midroll.

1. Norse Gods, not "aliens". You're confusing comics with Feigeslop. Asgard is a relic of ancient times. Pride parades are a part of modern western culture. It wouldn't make any more sense for there to be gay parades in Asgard than for there to be Catholic Churches in Asgard. 2. Are you implying beastility is part of LGBT? Yikes.

That's funny, Stephen, given that most modern Marvel, especially with characters like Thor, does read like fanfiction. Between Asgard having pride parades (a canonically patriarchal society, mind you) and Lady Sif getting it going with Beta Ray Bill while Thor is in the next room, I can't tell which is worse. Sorry you had to see "my take", which is a take any competent fan of Thor will have.

If you're not a Thor fan, it'll be hard for you to grasp how awful this (& a lot modern Thor comics) is. It's like if MJ was giving Paul a BJ while Peter was in another room having fun with a bunch of hookers. Total character assassination of Thor & Sif and zero understanding of their history.
