@LexiTalksComix I think the best way to get into Spider-Man are non-canon stories from the Marvel Adventures line, which were written to be the modern-day equivalent of Spidey's Silver Age comics. Those were my favorites as a kid.

@iREUS_SA We want reprints of old stories, not the ones that aren't old enough to buy themselves alcohol. Plus WTF is it with Captain America? They first released The Winter Soldier, which collects the first 12 issues of Brubaker's run, but now publish a story that starts at issue 25.

@LexiTalksComix When it was announced we were getting a reboot of Spider-Man after the Raimi films, this is what I was hoping for. A more edgy take on the character that already has an established history, with his villains already formed, and him married to MJ.
Sucks that didn't happen.

Once you realise that Mark Millar tends to write his comics with getting them adapted in mind and think of them that way, they become a bit better.
Marvel Knights: Spider-Man in particular would probably be the perfect Spider-Man movie since it definitely has a very cinematic-
