@RobCFTyne @ThinkinPractice But isn't this really about creating a funding system that avoids evaluating the work of organisations that are primarily focused on community engagement and participation against those that work in very different ways to achieve different artistic and social outcomes?

@ThinkinPractice @Stack_says how exactly would you split what’s ‘arty’ art from community culture? By turnover? Most large arts charities do both. So they’d have to try to get money from both providers? And at what point would a community-led culture scheme be ‘arty’ enough qualify for the other ££?

@ThinkinPractice Hmm. Well I'm not advocating for "elite art" as an investment strategy but it may well be that ACE's objectives are just too expansive and its budgets too small to serve the needs of the sector as a whole.
