Japanese traders must commit to stronger biomass sustainability policies. We call on Mitsubishi Corporation, Kansai Electric Power, Sumitomo Corporation and @mitsuiandco to ensure that no biomass imports harm natural forests or vulnerable communities.

Not every mining standard is created equal, and automakers need to be aware of the strengths and shortcomings of various standards in order to continue to make progress on responsible sourcing, avoid due diligence fines, and protect themselves from risk.
