New analysis from SC DEW highlights strong progress for our state: From Q3 2024 to Q3 2025, South Carolina led the nation with 3.5% real GDP growth - the fastest of any state (national average: 2.3%). Personal income increased 6.0%, fastest in the Southeast and tied for 5th nationwide.

I was admitted to practice law in SC on April 20th, and received my law license from the Supreme Court a few days ago. While COVID-19 has impacted the pomp and circumstance that usually accompanies our traditional swearing-in, the significance of this accomplishment is not lost.
