The 2026 PIAA Class 2A champion Sewickley Academy Panthers 🏀🏆

Check out these signs some of the Old Forge fans are holding. The Blue Devils just lost to Sewickley Academy, 52-36, in the PIAA Class 2A championship.

Final -- Sewickley Academy 52, Old Forge 36 ... Sewickley claims its fourth PIAA title and first since 2017.

Sewickley Academy scored the final 11 points of the opening quarter, including this bucket by Adam Ikamba, to lead Old Forge, 13-6. Sewickley 5-of-15 shooting, but has grabbed seven offensive rebounds.

James Harrison made the trip to Hershey to watch Sewickley Academy play in the PIAA championship. Billionaire Thomas Tull, a minority owner of the Steelers, is in the USA shirt. Two of his sons play for Sewickley.

A season after coming up just short of winning a PIAA Class 2A championship, Sewickley Academy will try to close the deal today against District 2 champ Old Forge.

Final -- Devon Prep 58, Obama Academy 41 in the PIAA Class 4A championship. The Tide wins a third consecutive state title. Obama trailed by as many as 17 points before pulling to within six in the fourth. Eric James scored a team-high 19 points.

Eric James with the steal and score to pull Obama within 45-39 with 3:06 left. The Eagles once trailed by 17.

And here comes Obama!!! After Eric James made consecutive baskets to cut the Devon Prep leads to 41-33, Devon Prep is called for a technical foul. Jaden Colbert makes two, and Obama now trails, 41-35, with four minutes left.

Not since DeJuan Blair and the legendary 2007 Schenley team has a Pittsburgh City League team won a PIAA title. But Obama Academy can change that tonight when the Eagles take on two-time defending champ Devon Prep. Said coach Naron Jackson, "‘This is Pittsburgh vs. Philly."

Final -- Sankofa Freedom 55, Neighborhood Academy 52 ... The Bulldogs come up just short of winning a second straight PIAA Class 1A title. Kedron Gilmore 21 points. Sankofa 23 of 31 from the line. TNA 8 of 12.
