Thoughts from Colonial: -I really enjoy playing at Colonial and this tournament. It’s close to home, and more than anything this course really suits me. There are certain courses where I don’t feel like I have to be perfect and I can still compete. This is one of those courses along with WM, Innisbrook -I think it has to do with the course giving me options off the tee where I can lay back and there’s not that many penalty shots I have to worry about off the tee. Some of the tougher holes like 3, 4, 5, I feel comfortable with which always helps. -It’s amazing that the winners score is always around -12 here. Testament to the design and the tricky rough. It’s not crazy chip out rough but tough enough to make it difficult. Some great tree placements here. -Played with Sahith Theegala again, super nice guy, marks his ball with such a thick line that from long distance I feel like the line would cover the entire hole 😂. To each their own 🤷🏻‍♂️ -One of the toughest courses we play in Muirfield coming up. My game feels good and I’m looking forward to the week!
