@SavLocal To give an example, we were sent a Christmas gift, clearly marked as such in a hand-addressed envelope (so no mistaking it for commercial merchandise). Declared value=510kr. We had to pay 209kr to get it.

PostNord is basically an extortion racket, charging 275kr to release a package that I may or may not want to receive, but which is probably just marketing material that will go straight in the bin. When did it get this bad?

@SavLocal It's a complete money-spinning racket. How they justify taking a fee for every private gift sent that is worth more than 500kr baffles me.

Stuff like this hugely annoys. It's a ferry, not a hotel, so what do you expect? It's like people who whine about in-flight food. Also: "I can't begin to describe the toilets." Try. theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2…
