The citizen-led Task Force to Bring Back the Don worked tirelessly for over 30 years to keep the vision alive, hold politicians accountable, and demand the highest standards of environmental stewardship. 2. We’re capable of doing extraordinary things when we take the long view and commit to the hard work. This area was once a contaminated, degraded landscape. Decades of studies imagined the path forward, but as these images show, there was no substitute for patient, hands-on restoration. 3. This is the kind of work that calls on the best in us. Projects like this don’t happen without deep collaboration, technical excellence, and long-term commitment across many disciplines. They challenge us to rise to the occasion and to contribute our skills toward something lasting, something bigger than ourselves. Few undertakings are more worthy of our highest efforts. Back when the government started flooding the airwaves w the slogan "more homes, faster", Ontario had 74,022 housing completions/yr. After 3 1/2 years pf their gutting our construction efficiency rules on the pretext of trying to accomplish that, they're down to 36,998/yr. 👇

What should have been a magnificent PUBLIC WATERFRONT PARK for ALL is moving fast to be a gigantic parking lot with PRIVATE pools & SPA on 95 yr lease! Billions of tax dollars into this craziness. Eventually, a casino? TO will be known as the city with the waterfront casino.
