The best and only way to vote is with your wallet. That is my right as a customer. Games aren't owed success by nature of existing.

People want games to fail because voting with your wallet is literally the only way we have to tell devs to stop doing something. If a studio introduces some shitty practice and the game succeeds it sends the message they can keep doing it. That's how we got day 1 dlcs, abusive microtransactions, early access, denuvo, etc
If a game is bad and lazy it has to fail, otherwise studios get the message they can pour slop and get their money. If a game injects political propaganda it has to fail, otherwise studios get the message that wokeness is where the money is at. If a game costs 80$ it has to fail otherwise all studios will bump to 80$.
Games absolutely have to fail.
