@Sssebi My wife hates that I use 3/4 of the 360g package. But the whole pack legit is always too much. Every 3 packs is 4 meals. That’s the rule.

Time to call out the Midnight ambassadors who have conflicts of interest. Will you be voting ABSTAIN ? - @bosconfts - Porto Cripto dRep - ₳4.41 million $ADA - @Cryptofly777 - Linda - Cryptofly - ₳34.11 million $ADA - @LucasMacchia2 - Lucas.Macchiavelli - ₳6.6 million $ADA - KTOP (anyone have his handle, please tag) - ₳9.51 million $ADA Those are just the ones I found that have a dRep, there could be many more.
Dr. Navjit Dhaliwal@NaVi_GaT0R

@astroboysoup @blockfrost_io @Filecoin Do you think as a Midnight Ambassador - you have a conflict of interest for the IOG proposals? Will you ABSTAIN with your 71 million $ADA ?

Whether the conflict of interest is true or not, these call-outs silo spectators into forming an opinion. Then depending on the action from the KOL it creates a zero sum game. They either vote and then will be attacked, and if they don’t vote a) the attacker gets the outcome they want b) they will be attacked by the other side of the opinion. All of which is damaging to their reputation as KOLs. They were targeted because of their reach. This is a classic manipulation technique called no-win scenario, or false dilemma manipulation.

@TJCoosh @NaVi_GaT0R @bosconfts @Cryptofly777 @LucasMacchia2 Asking for someone to vote a certain way is not an attack. It's simply a request. If you believe that ask is "defamation" then maybe he's correct in his assessment as there being a conflict of interest. In what way is he defaming them, or is that just your belief again?

I understand the difference, campaigning is for electing people and lobbying is for passing laws. I said belief because it’s a little gray when the ones wanting the laws passed are the ones funding the campaigns, But that’s irrelevant to this conversation. In this specific context I took the route of basing my positions using lobbying because it more closely reflects the situation at hand. We don’t elect people here at cardano we pass proposals. A law is closer to a proposal than a person. Attacking other decision makers and publicly trying to guilt and defame them into not voting to change a personal undesirable outcome is wrong. I am an Iagon holder and I’m disappointed with their leader’s lobbying strategy on the these IO proposals. I respect the rationales he has presented, but the magnitude of the lobbying beyond that is questionable.

@_wdm33 @NaVi_GaT0R @bosconfts @Cryptofly777 @LucasMacchia2 I never mentioned funds…. I’m just responding to your messages about funded lobbying. Lobbying doesn’t always have to be monetarily funded. It is a defense mechanism to the threat of a potential undesired outcome.

@_wdm33 @NaVi_GaT0R @bosconfts @Cryptofly777 @LucasMacchia2 Buying ada to increase your voting power is in support of your own opinion and it brings more ada into the voting system. Utilizing capital to change other people’s opinions does not add to the voting system, it takes away.

@_wdm33 @NaVi_GaT0R @bosconfts @Cryptofly777 @LucasMacchia2 If you can buy an outcome, that is not a democratic process. It is a strategy to undermine democracy itself. Control a narrative to strip people of their opinions. We are here replacing tradgov not adopting their practices.

This is true, maybe they thought they had sufficient time to make their case. 🤷🏻‍♂️ If it is a partner chain model focused on decentralizing the free portion of their product line, there would be an airdrop to Ada holders and/or to devs that utilized blockfrost in the past. And it would create a new revenue stream for SPOs. That is a benefit to ADA holders, Developers, and SPOs. It would further increase the decentralization of the Cardano stack. It also helps address the increase in data quantity that leios is about to unleash. It just seems like a net benefit to everyone. I’m interested to hear more about it.

As a DRep, I decided to vote NO on the proposal: Blockfrost: Maintenance and Next Generation Indexing My rationale: Blockfrost has received multiple funding rounds from Catalyst in the past. Last year, $1,300,000 from the Treasury. That is enough support for a private company under the IO umbrella to become a sustainable business. While Blockfrost provides a free tier, it operates a freemium model where production usage is monetized. Without disclosure of revenue, cost recovery, and sustainability metrics, it is not possible to determine whether this subsidy is necessary or whether it risks funding a commercially viable business. While Blockfrost is clearly an important provider, no independent data has been provided to justify subsidizing its operational costs over other competing services. Blockfrost is one of several capable API providers in the ecosystem, alongside Maestro and Cardanoscan, while decentralized alternatives such as Koios further reduce reliance on any single service. This suggests that the ecosystem does not depend on Blockfrost in a way that would justify exclusive treasury support. If we pick winners by subsidizing their business, others must also seek funding from the Treasury, or we support centralization by ensuring Blockfrost dominance. The winner should emerge from healthy competition, not through governance decisions. To be clear, access to blockchain data is essential, but this does not require subsidizing a specific private API provider. The ecosystem would benefit more from investment in open, decentralized, or protocol-level data access solutions that reduce reliance on any single service. Allocating treasury funds to an IOG-aligned service risks reinforcing centralization at the infrastructure layer, especially in a market where multiple alternative providers exist. Additionally, this proposal bundles two distinct components: the development of new infrastructure (Project Cayley) and an operational subsidy for Blockfrost's existing services. Combining them into a single vote prevents proper evaluation of each on its own merits and forces an all-or-nothing decision. If you'd like to support my work, consider delegating to the MANDA pool and backing me as a DRep. Your support is the only way I can get time for governance. @IOHK_Charles Feel like we might need a whiteboard vid to describe the blockfrost vision. Seems to be the most polarizing of the proposals from what I’ve seen so far.

Elections and funding are good reference points on one's contributions, perceived value, and ultimately the role and place projects and people have in the ecosystem. What succeeds, we will pursue with passion and excitement and what fails gets shut down and we move on. I think the 9 proposals we have submitted are what is necessary to get Cardano back into the top ten and beyond. I hope they all pass. Part of decentralization is accepting the consequences of partial success and wholesale failure. It's also accepting that a different vision and different voices will have to lead. It would be sad to see things unfinished, things shut down, and not being on the vanguard. But that's the risk one accepts when a network is sovereign. I always try to do my best, adapt, and give it my all. The next few months will be an interesting time. I wish everyone well and hope for the best.
