Myth: Athletes need to be redlining in training for sleep to matter Without sleep, we are moving the athlete into a more fragile state on all fronts. Consistent lack of sleep will eventually tip the athlete into a state of looming injuries, burnout, and chronic fatigue.

@davidmaris958 @CoachDJBrock Both are right, in my opinion. Mechanics broke down. You lose efficiency: energy expenditure increases while force drops=steeper deceleration. I’d also guess that rate of momentum could be a factor? He’s got the greatest start ever, but how much is that robbing Peter to pay Paul?
