When Marco Rubio’s Florida bestie was indicted for allegedly serving as an unregistered foreign agent for Venezuela, Rubio was called to testify. This week, against all odds, the Secretary of State actually showed up and took the stand For more on this case, check out Noah Shachtman’s report for Vanity Fair: vanityfair.com/news/story/mar…

ICE showed up in Vermont and they’re just as aggressive as they were in Minneapolis. They’re ramming into vehicles & trying to blame it on legal observers like before! They’re also snatching up protesters and throwing them to the ground. This has to stop now!

BREAKING: QatarEnergy just declared Force Majeure. Three words that mean: we cannot deliver, and legally, we do not have to. This is no longer a supply disruption. This is a contract collapse. Force Majeure is not a precaution. It is a formal legal declaration that an unforeseeable event beyond QatarEnergy’s control has made fulfillment impossible. Every affected buyer just had their contract voided. The gas they were counting on is gone, and they have no legal recourse to get it back. 82% of Qatar’s LNG goes to Asia. China relies on Qatar for 30% of its LNG imports. India 42 to 52%. South Korea 14 to 19%. Taiwan 25%. Japan is already rationing to spot markets. Asian benchmark prices jumped 39% the day production stopped. Force Majeure just made that permanent until further notice. Indian companies have already cut gas supplies to industry by 10 to 30%. That is not a market adjustment. That is factories running at reduced capacity today, across the world’s most populous continent, because Iran sent drones into Ras Laffan. Here is the number the market still has not fully absorbed. Two weeks to restart a liquefaction train after a full cold shutdown. Then two more weeks to reach full capacity. That is a minimum of four weeks at zero, assuming no further strikes, no security complications, no inspection delays. The war is still running. There is no security guarantee. There is no restart timeline. There is no floor. Every LNG contract in Asia just became a spot market problem. Every spot market problem just became an inflation problem. Every inflation problem just became a central bank problem. This started as a war in the Middle East. It is now inside every factory, every power plant, and every gas bill across Asia. Price that chain. open.substack.com/pub/shanakaans…

QatarEnergy values its relationships with all of its stakeholders and will continue to communicate the latest available information. #QatarEnergy #Qatar

Neguse: Where is this company headquartered? Noem: I don’t know. Neguse: I don’t know either. We can’t find it. We did find an address that’s registered to a political operative. This company that received 143 million dollars was incorporated 8 days before this contract went out. You want the American people to believe that this is all above board, that $143 million of taxpayer money just happened to go to this one company that doesn't have a headquarters, doesn't have a website, has never done work for the federal government before and is registered apparently or attached to a residence from a political operative, and of course one of the subcontractors of that contract, as you know, is a political firm that's tied to, to you back when you were governor of South Dakota?

This leaked draft executive order is completely illegal and unconstitutional. If Trump and Congressional Republicans do not immediately distance themselves from this outline for an executive power grab over our elections, it is a five-alarm constitutional crisis. The president cannot seize control of federal elections, nullify acts of Congress, and suspend constitutional protections by declaring a “national emergency.” This draft attempts to dictate how ballots are printed, how voters register, how votes are cast and counted, and how results are certified. That is legislative power that belongs to Congress and the states, not the executive branch. The President enforces the law, he doesn’t get to rewrite it. This entire draft is unlawful, unconstitutional, and fundamentally incompatible with our system of government. Maybe it was written by the MyPillow guy or perhaps John Eastman? democracydocket.com/news-alerts/ex…

Concerning Social Security payments, my contributions were made for over 40 years on every salary I received. Those jobs may not have always been the work I wanted to be doing at the time, BUT I always had a job. The Social Security check is now (or soon will be) referred to as a "Federal Benefit Payment?" I'll be part of the one percent to forward this. I am forwarding it because it touches a nerve in me, and I hope it will in you. Please keep passing it on until everyone in our country has read it. The government is now referring to our Social Security checks as a "Federal Benefit Payment." This isn't a benefit. It is our money paid out of our earned income! Not only did we all contribute to Social Security but our employers did too. It totaled 15% of our income before taxes. If you averaged $30K per year over your working life, that's close to $180,000 invested in Social Security. If you calculate the future value of your monthly investment in social security ($375/month, including both you and your employers contributions) at a meager 1% interest rate compounded monthly, after 40 years of working you'd have more than $1.3+ million dollars saved! This is your personal investment. Upon retirement, if you took out only 3% per year, you'd receive $39,318 per year, or $3,277 per month. That's almost three times more than today's average Social Security benefit of $1,230 per month, according to the Social Security Administration. (Google it – it’s a fact). And your retirement fund would last more than 33 years (until you're 98 if you retire at age 65)! I can only imagine how much better most average-income people could live in retirement if our government had just invested our money in low-risk interest-earning accounts. Instead, the folks in Washington pulled off a bigger "Ponzi scheme" than Bernie Madoff ever did. They took our money and used it elsewhere. They forgot (oh yes, they knew) that it was OUR money they were taking. They didn't have a referendum to ask us if we wanted to lend the money to them. And they didn't pay interest on the debt they assumed. And recently they've told us that the money won't support us for very much longer. But is it our fault they misused our investments? And now, to add insult to injury, they're calling it a "benefit", as if we never worked to earn every penny of it. Just because they borrowed the money doesn't mean that our investments were a charity! Let's take a stand. We have earned our right to Social Security and Medicare. Demand that our legislators bring some sense into our government. Find a way to keep Social Security and Medicare going for the sake of that 92% of our population who need it. Then call it what it is: Our Earned Retirement Income. 99% of people won't Cut and Paste this to their timelines. Will you? Please, for the sake of our country, Copy & Paste. It's important.

“I don’t understand why women don’t just report it if it really happened.” When I was 19, I reported mine. I had bruises. Hospital photos. Text messages of him apologizing the next morning. My friends drove me to the station because I could barely stop shaking. I thought evidence would make it simple. I thought truth would be enough. Months later, I was the one on trial. His lawyer printed my Instagram photos and held them up in court. Asked why I wore crop tops. Asked why I drank that night. Asked why I didn’t scream louder. He replayed my police interview and pointed out every time I hesitated, every time I cried, every time my timeline wasn’t perfectly linear. “If it was traumatic,” he said, “why can’t she remember clearly?” Sitting there while strangers debated my pain like it was a group project felt like being stripped again. My messages were projected on a screen. My body was described in detail. My character was picked apart like that was the real crime. He walked out on bail. I walked out with panic attacks. That’s why some women don’t report. Because even with bruises. Even with screenshots. Even when you do everything “right.” You still have to survive the assault twice, once in private, and once in public, just to maybe be believed.

#BREAKING: Lawrence: “Congressman Eric Swalwell presented clear and convincing proof beyond a reasonable doubt that Donald Trump’s FBI Director Kashyap Patel LIED UNDER OATH and did it on video…we now know that the number is over a million times, yes, a million. Donald Trump’s name is in the #EpsteinFiles over a million times…and Kashyap Patel is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt of LYING under oath about that, and during every presidency in the history of the FBI except the Trump presidency, the FBI Director would be forced to immediately RESIGN…and he would be prosecuted.”😳

BREAKING: TIKTOK has been completely throttling most political posts since 24 hours ago, right after the deal closed where Trump allies took over the US portion of the platform. Any post I make about Alex Pretti receives between 0 and 1000 views. I have over 125,000 followers and my typical video will get between 20,000 and 5 million views. I can confirm that other large creators, especially democratic-leaning, have had the same issue. This includes Dean Withers and Harry Sisson.
