@atrocityTCG I think they also used to have Interrupts too for counter spells mostly which forced themselves to resolve first or something. They errata'd them all to be Instants.

@ShitMyPaulSays @Leophilius The point of the meme is that "meter" and "second" are arbitrary units came up with. If we defined them differently then the numerical value of the speed of light would be different (e.g. it would be 850000 skonts/regs) And in natural units the speed of light is 1

@indefensible01 @Leophilius Because the meter existed before the speed of light was measured and they didn't want to change it too much I genuinely think it would've been preferred if they changed it by the 1% or whatever but who knows maybe then we'd have "old meter" and "new meter" or some nonsense

@DenjiRandoman I have rarely see an authors actually make their characters light speed or anything close to it and most of the time it's just the most contrived and disingenuous logic to make peoplle who aren't going to second guess it satisfied.
