I have worked physically in Lagos, Accra, Kigali, Nairobi, Kampala and Cairo, I can tell you for free that a lot of work has to be done when it comes to the workforce conversation. And recall that sometime last year I told you all that I was moving from complaining to doing the real work. So: - if it means me building a school, I will! - if it means me traveling to execute events in Africa where these conversations will be held, I will! - if it means me educating, I will! Q2 was when I set for that and now is the time for greatness! Let’s go!!!

when I mentioned in 2025 that @AWFSummit will be going to Accra in 2026, by that time we had not even done the one in Kigali. but what held more shock for some of my team members, was the fact that I knew we’d be going already in 2026. and I laugh at them because brethren, if I am still alive, I know where we are going by 2030! like I have always had a vision board and I go back there to tick it. and guess what? I designed that in 2020 and we are still in very good shape. 🤭🤭🤭. yeah, I am that visionary.

my event, @AWFSummit almost made me depressed last year. - I got broke. - I got into debts. - I got cheated by someone super close to me. - owed people I was never supposed to owe. in fact, I am still paying. and if I ever get dragged on this space, it’d be because of that. - I had ptsd. - I told myself i wasn’t going to do the event again. but purpose… purpose is a crazy thing. it drives you! things are not 100% but I have healed and I am back! I will sort the backlogs and still deliver a stellar event this year!

“My film is coming to cinemas” sounds pretty on the outside. But not everyone will understand how difficult it is to be the Writer, Production Designer, Director, Producer and Lead Actor on a single project, at the same time! Midway into production, I became terribly sick but still came on set everyday and acted strong so that no one will know I wasn’t feeling strong. We wrapped shoot and I made sure I sat with the post-production team through everything. All cuts, sound design & music, color grading, etc. I didn’t have a life until The Boy Who Gave was completed. Let’s not even talk about how uneasy it is to land distribution as a Gen-Z filmmaker. (Cont’d)
