@joeljohnson None of them, my former employer included, have any grasp of what it takes to run a functional media property. And frankly I don't think they're interested. They just want to milk the SEO/commerce thing for every last penny before it stops being a thing all together in a year.

I've stayed quiet in the G/O Media era of Gawker sites for personal reasons. (I was never granted equity in GMG, etc. fwiw.) But as a person who helped launch and sometimes managed Kotaku among other sites, I am aghast at the lack of understanding not only of editorial realities
