This is what Elon's change to blocking will enable, people can quote your posts more easily as they're not blocked. Then you can't unquote it, and their followers have a nice convenient link to click on to abuse you Bluesky already more advanced than "X" x.com/bluesky/status…

So much better than Twitter, who killed @TheBlockBot and all shared blocking services ages ago. It's built into the app that you can share and subscribe to blocklists! Not that I've had to block anyone on there yet, or even mute... x.com/bluesky/status…

@Jris420 @Anka213 That's what all the spammers use, so that would be possible but maybe a bit heavy going. Also to apply blocks to someone else's account you'd need their username/password and no MFA on the account.

Elon Musk has shown he has absolutely no interest in stopping abuse on this platform. In fact he actively encourages neo-Nazis to set up shop, allows them to get "verified" by paying him $8/month to get special access to abuse minorities. Which is why I say #BlockTheBlue always!

@Keirakvlt Unsub and resub will add a lot of Actions, so don't do it unless sure it isn't working as it just leads to more rows for it to churn through when trying to do your blocks. I'll check yours now.

Blockbot down for maintenance! Actions table autoincrement id was an int, the table that holds all blocks etc, and the number of rows is over 4bn now... Hit the max allowed value! So re-creating the table w/bigint, will be down for 24hrs I'd guess. It's a 250Gb compressed table!
