There is this place Hurghada in Egypt.
Most Indians have never even heard of it. It is not Dubai, not Miami, not even Singapore.
Now look at this satellite view map of Hurghada and think what sins we Indians have committed to not have any place like this.
We can cry about colonialism. We can try to oversell spirituality and yoga tourism. But, we cannot attract high value tourists if we cannot provide amenities & places like these in Hurghada.
It is the ignorance of Indians about the world which gives us some false pride & sense of superiority.
