It would suck for Ovi to retire a non-playoff year but I think it's time. The team is, unfortunately, better without him. I still think the best idea is he goes to the KHL then joins the Caps next season's playoff push but understand that's probably hopeful wishing.

I like Parascak, I think he’ll be a very good possession support winger but Connelly was at the top of my list at that pick. I understand not wanting to take a chance with his off ice issues but he’s be killer to have now. Imagine him on Pro’s wing.

Trevor Connelly... During his 12-game points streak -- 3-14-17 Points in 17 of last 18 games -- 8-19-27 37 points in 35 games, and he turned 20 less than a month ago.

@TheCupitals After today Ovi now leads the league in PP TOI by over 25 minutes and is tied in 83rd for PP goals and 72nd in PP points

4 deployments with nothing and then the one time they start the PP with Hutty out there, they score. I rest my case. Stop the vet bias on the power play. This coulda been a regulation win if we cared about actually icing our best unit. Colorado has one of the best PKs.

I don't care who you take off the PP but if you keep starting the top unit without Hutson on it, you are not living in reality. It is quite arguable that Hutson has the strongest argument of literally any Cap to be on the top PP. He's literally the best playmaker on the team.

@_PureWage_ If the Caps are smart, they’ll sign him this weekend and let him practice with the team but not play until March 28 at Vegas or 31st vs Philly. Since he’s still 19 if he is signed now and plays less than 10 games his contract will slide an extra year
