ここ最近、macOSでcodexのサブスク認証使いつつローカルの隔離環境で動かす方法を色々調べてたんだけど、現状だとlima一択だった！(docker sandboxのcodexは現状codex前提でうまく動かないため) limactl start --mount-noneでホームはマウントしないようにしつつ、 limactl shell --sync でワークスペースを同期して開発する。ssh通じてVSCodeでも開発できる。 codex用のテンプレートがあるわけではないので、起動時のみcodexのインストールやgitのuser設定などは必要だけど、そこまで手間じゃない。 こなれてきたらtemplate作ってよく使うセットアップを自動化するとかもできそう。 ※注意点として、現状--syncはstableリリースに含まれてないbeta版の機能なので、brewでは--HEADでインストール必要。

If you are on macOS, a reasonably secure way to run untrusted AI code is Lima. Lima (Linux Machines) makes it trivial to spin up and tear down VMs, where the kernel is separated from your host kernel. While it is not a panacea, it certainly reduces the risk of accidental malware infection and the blast radius of a potential compromise Also, if you are careful with which folders you mount, you reduce the risk of data leakage. Kernel and hypervisor escapes exist, but they are relatively rare!
