If I can step in here and provide an explanation. I feel I am qualified to make this comment as a convert to Islam of almost 20 years. The practice of praying Eid prayer outside in a field or an open space is Sunnah (sayings and doings of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh). Praying Eid at the Masjid was done only when it was raining Another Sunnah of the outdoor Eid prayer is to take a different route home than the one you took to the field. Doing this outdoors makes it a literal journey through the community, allowing you to greet as many neighbors and strangers as possible with "Eid Mubarak."

Why do some Uyghurs living in the US pray on tennis courts? Are there no mosques in America for them to pray in? They live in utter misery themselves, yet still have the nerve to spread lies that there are no mosques in Xinjiang and hypocritically claim to fight for the human rights of Uyghurs. 😅 They really should sort out their own lives first!
