maybe when they launch (years imo) this problem is solved, or they will be one of the actors that really contribute to solve this problems and not just launch a token and die

Should we be concerned that the most played on chain game remains @darkforest_eth?
It's been three years, hundreds of devs, and millions of dollars spent, and DAUs are still sub 1000 across the board...

@0xhank @darkforest_eth and this is not something that is solvable with somebody coming and putting 10 quadrillion dollars in designing a AAA onchain game or discovering a new genre of "Play to X".
Blockchains just need to be faster.

@0xhank @darkforest_eth The barrier that makes on chain games have no players is not broken yet.
Lag & cost to play are stupidly high comparing to normal games, and graphic design/game quality of onchain games is below mid-quality mobile games.
this said, there has been a lot of progress this 3 years

This is a really good article to read about FOCGs.
it points out that FOCGs are a hard form application and by this they are "restricted by the limitations of the underlying tech" (referring to lag/tx costs/slow)
my question is, is it something really solvable?
