@twothirdsn3lson My buddy is the TO and can’t overwrite the store owner’s wishes sadly and I still want to support him running events.
Thankfully for my friends and I it’s not the biggest issue as I own almost everything and then own a lot of the non-commander stuff in multiples.

@The_Chad_Bod I quit going to those type of events and will not support stores like that. I proxy the shit out of everything but I also buy a lot of shit from my favorite LGS’s including real magic cards

@LandGo_MTG I hope this goes well in practice! I’ve wanted seat 1 to not draw a card for a while but always felt like extra steps for the other 3 seats would just be a huge undertaking for implementation!

1st Seat - No draw for 1st Turn. 2nd Seat - Scry 1, no draw. Seat 3 - Scry 1, Draws. Seat 4 - Scry 1, Scry 1, Draw. Our internal results:
Draw: 15.7%
1st Seat: 24.6%
2nd Seat: 23.1%
3rd Seat: 20.7%
4th Seat: 15.8%

Befriending and/or playing with people that are better than you. And being open to constructive criticism. The worst thing you can do is blame everything on luck and not see your mistakes. You can only control your side of the game and what you do, not what your opp draws.
