A traffic police officer based in Kajiado was forced to spend the night in the very cells where he works after losing the car keys of a person he had arrested.The vehicle, a Golf Mk 7, requires about KSh 80,000 to duplicate the key.
The officer was reportedly ordered by his superiors to take full responsibility and compensate the vehicle owner, who is allegedly the son of a senior politician, as the police could not afford to cover the cost of replacing the keys.
