FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DEPARTMENT OF WAR
April 28, 2026
The Department of War today authorized the World War Eleven Campaign Medal for all personnel who survived the latest global mess.
“After the usual committees and one very lost intern, we’re proud to present this bronze globe-on-fire medal with its red-black-blue ribbon,” said Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Thaddeus “Buzz” Killington.
“Wear it proudly… or at least ironically.”
Eligibility: Served in theater, didn’t surrender to a Roomba, and can still spell “Ypres.”
A bronze star device goes to anyone who lived through more than one Tuesday.
Uniform update: Tactical velcro now authorized. Complaining remains punishable.
