An Israeli government statement says removing Iran’s regime would make it far easier to eliminate Hezbollah and Hamas.
Without Iran’s funding, weapons, and support pipeline, both groups would weaken significantly and could be defeated at far lower cost.
Israel says the priority now is the Iranian front while continuing military responses in Lebanon and Gaza.
Officials say Hezbollah has already taken a heavy blow in the north but has not been defeated.
