Ever wanted to monitor #MOF #synthesis on the cheap? Look no further: Felicity's paper describing how MOF scale-up can be improved using an open source, multi-channel monitor - all for yeunggroupbham.com/2020/10/15/mon…

@SSDhankhar7 Hi Sandeep - nice work. 1) For either route did you have to use any solvent? 2) an important concept for green chem. is how you deal with by-products and waste - have you looked into by-products of this reactions (perhaps from the metal source)?

@Josh_Nicks_ @RSC_PorMat @ChemCommun Hi Josh, nice to see some MOF catalysis! Can you comment on what is currently being used for this reaction in literature/industry and how your materials compare?

Do you like graphene and MOFs? Who doesn't! Wish you could combine the advantages of both? Check out our work in @ChemCommun on Functionalised Metal-Organic Nanosheets for Tandem Catalysis! #RSCPMGPoster #PMG111 @RSC_PorMat

@ChrisAshling @RSC_PorMat Hi Chris, Nice work. This covers MIL-53 and ZIF-62. Do you see this being applicable to a wider range of materials? Any limitations to which frameworks can be mixed with which frameworks?

What if, instead of polymers, we used other MOFs to make our MOFs into bulk structures? Well, this is exactly what I've been working on with these metal-organic framework crystal-glass composites! #RSCPMGPoster #PMG73

@DomWard3 @RSC_PorMat @TimEasun Hi Dom, Nice concept. 1) Could you expand a little on the gas separation idea? Is one form blocking all gas and when you irradiate, a MOF phase change occurs allowing one of the gases through? 2) How do you envision this working practically? Any issues with phase change in a MMM?

#RSCPMGPoster #PMG167 Excited to share my first scientific poster with everyone today! Less results here than I would like but hopefully you can all see the concepts we are working on and stay tuned for some exciting work from us in the future :) @TimEasun

@Frances20120174 Hi Francesca, what was the reason to look at CH4 in particular? Were you interested in its physical properties or for an end application?

@CatWalshe08 @RSC_PorMat Hi Catherine, 1) Do you see fully conversion to the Br2 form? 2) Do you seen any relationship between lattice parameters and Br content?

@TimCrai80418015 @seinapapa @MacDiarmidInsti Thanks for this. ASA - accessible surface area. Soxhlet washing may be a neater way to do this but not ideal. Possibly burning them out too but I suspect agglomeration would still be problematic.

@TimJohnsonChem @seinapapa @MacDiarmidInsti What do you mean by ASA? Removal of surfactants can be difficult. I remove them with excess cyclohexane methanol and acetone which seems to work based on IR. But I sometimes have to wash it with more cycles for smaller samples which to agglomerate

@GemmaFTurner @DrMogg Nicely presented - can you comment on how you measured you lattice parameters as a function of pressure?
