@TimeSuppression I have a 30% down payment requirement so that I can order supplies, I'm just... Burned out by people burning me with payment plans (ie "I'll pay $500/mo!" and then only sending me $100 or nothing at all)

It is a little short notice, but I am considering adding a small fee if you are to commission/purchase from me and need a payment plan. Artists are not banks and do you a favor by offering these if they wish to do so. I've been burned too many times by late/absent payments. 😮‍💨

@SarahcatFursuit I do think the fandom needs to start taking contracts seriously though. It might be worth it to have an actual contract extended to clients (I always have one) that clearly outlines everything.

@SarahcatFursuit Personally, for my business, I charge a 50% deposit and 50% on completion. Only certain clients get work from me without a deposit. And that’s because there’s years of trust and history between us.

@Kangazeroo Oh yeah absolutely. I know what I’m getting into. I also realize how cheap rooms are for most furry cons compared to most other events. Ive had plenty regular hotel rooms that are $1000+/night for events I do for work.
