@Toad43484 Personal attacks do nothing. But, it is a side note. Toxic people will always exist online. Should not distract from the problem. Judges aren't above criticism but there is a line to said criticism. Judges should also be able to call out bad judgments as well

While I do love the attention for Firestar, I DO NOT enjoy the blatant targeting of judges. You can have your own opinions, whether it be to hate the ruling or support it, however this incredibly toxic behavior is what shouldn’t be allowed in this community. A few I found:

@Toad43484 @RockPaperSlark @CustomApproach_ It’s ‘valid’ to bring up regardless. People shouldn’t be lumped in with purported harassment campaigns, regardless of their opinions being dumb or not.

@RockPaperSlark @CustomApproach_ For sure, however for newer players that could be an issue, why would you compete in the scene if your win could be easily taken away like that. For older players in the scene I’ve heard the same sentiment If only the decision was reversed 😖

@Toad43484 @CustomApproach_ Ultimately all of the chatter is not productive. Tournament attendance would get the message across very clearly but I have yet to see the most vocal critics commit to not attending tournaments

I went back to the Orlando Go Finals footage and compared to the official Play!Pokemon statement and I believe we were a bit too quick to judge and spread an opinion about a situation we had only partial information about. It never was about the pop off in the first place

@Toad43484 @CustomApproach_ @PowerVidIO Someone being horrible at their job is a totally valid criticism, and if it's true the head judge from Orlando is the same person judging Prague - and continues to make these objectively bad calls, the person absolutely should be fired.

@Toad43484 I did VGC judging for side events at the 2015 Pokémon US National Championship. It was a good experience but i remember it seeming understaffed with how much was going on.

@PowerVidIO @Toad43484 Yeah I’m not saying they should/could be sued (outside my realm of expertise) but he lost prize money, emotional distress, etc. - so I think it’s a valid opinion someone should be able to have

@CustomApproach_ That message about the whole tournament being sued is taking this to a bit of an extreme. The firing and everything else you’ve said I don’t hate. However if information about the ruling with Firestar being told completely different information is correct, then who knows.

@Toad43484 Outside of cussing, the screenshot that the judge should be fired and tournament should be sued is a legit opinion someone should be able to have. Not fair to equate personal and professional attacks on the judges. No place for the other comments though
