This is a self-indulgent share, even though it’s about gratitude. I started posting on The Motley Fool in 1994, and thirty years later, I want to publicly say thanks. The company has been such a large part of my life. I was a full-time employee at the Fool for most of the last 30 years, but it goes well beyond that. I was able to work with hundreds of outstanding colleagues over the decades, became friends with many Fool members around the world, and worked on several different services, from the original Fool Portfolio with @DavidGFool and @TomGardnerFool in the 1990s, to the Rule Breaker Portfolio, to Motley Fool Pro and Motley Fool Options, to the 1623 Capital Pro hedge fund. From writing books, to being on news programs, to Motley Fool podcasts — the years were focused on helping others invest better, and leveling the investing playing field. It led us places, too. From meeting Trump alone in his office for an hour, just a few of us there lobbing questions at him; to hosting Musk at Fool HQ for a close conversation — those are just two among so many memorable people who have given the Fool their time. Three decades go by quickly once they’re behind you, and these particular years were momentous. They included an incredible stock market experience, from the early Internet days, to the cloud, to AI — to exceptional IPOs, including Amazon, Google, Visa, MasterCard, and many more in recent years. Nearly as incredible is it still feels like it's all just getting started, even though much of it is already "here." This is with thanks to The Motley Fool, to all the colleagues I met there, all the members, and all those who added their stories to the experience. Here’s to feeling like you’re always just getting started — and yet right where you want to be. And here's to the Fool continuing to help many more people succeed at investing. To younger people reading, the biggest lesson is to own — and continue owning — companies that are growing financial value. Especially ones that are likely to keep growing value for years... or even for decades.

@tommystrev Tom, thank you for the kind words. I wish you the very best with your investments. You might find a Fool membership tied to dividends or value ideas helpful. Not a sales pitch — just that we’re here to serve. Thank you again and onward, Fool.

@TomGardnerFool I wanted to say thanks for the great service MF provides. My investing style is moving to a more conservative approach, so we are signing off of Stock Advisor, but I very much appreciate your honest and accountable approach.

@krug0429 I understand. 10X is painful. Long term, I believe it will be profitable. I also believe it'll be market beating. Many of our services suffered declines from 2022. I think we are learning. We shall see. If you're most comfortable with Rule Breakers, I hope you'll return. Fool on.

@TomGardnerFool First Tom thank you for the reply. I have been a long time MF member, however over the past-years I found myself questioning some of the services. 10x was one in-particular. I still hold all the original rec. I did not renew any of my services. I might consider RB again help.

@krug0429 KD, I am doing my work inside of our membership services rather than on Twitter. I'm working to increase my coverage across all the portfolios I manage. And I plan to manage them for the rest of my life. I would be happy to answer any questions you have. Foolish best, Tom

Over the last five years, the Nasdaq is up 72%. And yet..... Between August and December of 2018, the Nasdaq fell 22%. And between November 2021 and today, the Nasdaq is down 22%. Every storm runs out of rain.

@Candyman_Young Joining the club of growth stocks down 50% over the past year, if after-hours pricing holds up tomorrow. I haven't looked at earnings yet but will this evening. I don't expect this'll shake my long-term resolve about the business and potential returns. Hope this helps.

@calistoker123 @TMFStockAdvisor @DavidGFool @BrianFeroldi @Brian_Stoffel_ Thanks for your feedback. I remain active here, just reading. Working on our product/mktg and posting my thoughts/rankings for paying members. I believe that my investments will make money and beat the market. It takes time. 25+ stocks, 5+ yrs. I've also made plenty of mistakes.

A few ways to dream if a company can 2X, 5X, 20X, 50X, beyond… 1. Are customers being served or served up? 2. Is there a companywide commitment to modernize? 3. Can you sense deep intellect, a growth mindset, and true grit? 4. Is this a 1-in-100 opportunity? Hello, Upstart.

@JustinNelsonMu1 Working harder than ever, 30 years in, I promise. A painful period. Unquestionably I have been wrong about Upstarts to date (among many others). I don't believe this is a going-concern issue. Many growth stocks are now down 50%-75%+. This video may help. youtu.be/I1IEvc8AXXM

@InvestTX I've never spoken to anyone at Upstart, other than an on-air interview w/ their CEO. It's not unusual for private-market holders to sell out in the public markets. But I have no connection w/anyone at Upstart. I simply believe the company can/will rebound once inflation slackens.

@krug0429 I would follow our rankings closely. For example, I sold out of DMTK entirely. Of that list, I remain most bullish on TEAM and OM. Atlassian got knocked down this week. But growth companies are being thrown away. I believe these companies will perform. I also know I will err.

@kumaran_karur @DavidGFool When Amazon is down 55%... Facebook is down 74%... Netflix is down 63%... We know that the vast majority of R&D-spending, future-leaning, long-term-focused companies are likely getting smashed too. These periods are hard.

@InvestTX I've definitely been badly wrong thus far. But my time horizon on all recommendations is a minimum of five years. There's no cheerleading for short-term gain. I recommend companies I believe in for 5-20+ years. I'm wrong often -- but rewarded for diversification and patience.

@krug0429 I am here. 10X has gotten crushed thus far. But investing requires more than a year. We're down badly in the first period of the game but there is a lot more time ahead of us. I realize this provides little solace. But we've been here before and enjoyed rewards for being patient.
