Anyone who talks about how great Iran was before the revolution needs to answer one question: What was the SAVAK? If you can't answer without using Google/AI, stop talking. The revolution was a popular one for a reason.

Canada Is About To Embark On MASSIVE Defense Spending Billions & Billions about to be spent Here's a Expert telling the truth: If we're worried about the Sovereignty of US F-35s why aren't we worried about American MS Office 365 that runs the entire Canadian Government
The Herle Burly@TheHerleBurly

🆕 Canada's "Shocking" Defence Outlook with David Perry. Greetings, you curiouser and curiouser Herle Burly-ites! The way we’re thinking about defence in Canada is not the same as it was 5 years ago. 1 year ago. Or even 6 months ago. The wars in Ukraine and Iran have dramatically demonstrated the impact of new technologies. And in February, the Carney government committed more than 80 billion NEW dollars over 5 years to rebuild and rearm our forces. 340 billion in total. It’s more than defence spending. It’s a whole new defence industrial strategy. I want to know: How do we spend that money? What kind of defence capacity do we build? Who and what are we defending ourselves against? How have war innovations changed thinking about what we produce, or procure? What will our North look like in 10 years? This is just some of what I covered with our guest, David Perry, today. Including ... shockingly ... his opinion that we should be buying American jets! And my debate with him on that. @DavePerryCGAI is the President and CEO of the Canadian Global Affairs Institute, a non-partisan, independent think tank. @Puffingtonpete2 Nothing but endless obstructions in BC - with Ottawa cheerfully helping. I'd rather see pipelines south.

@orgburo_cmd @Baystboy @ClydeDoSomethin When it comes to things like strategic metals, the US will control it's own aluminum & steel mills - period. The same will apply to electrical power. Big exporters like ON & QC should be ready to have a LOT of excess capacity, with no customers in the US.

@Puffingtonpete2 This will no doubt save the lives of vehicle occupants. The lives of the people in vehicles next to them on the road or pedestrians on the sidewalk? Not so much...

@Baystboy @SkepticalSheep @ClydeDoSomethin Think about Doug Ford threatening to shut off Ontario's electric power exports to the US last winter, because that is one of the big reasons why things are unfolding the way they are.

@SkepticalSheep @ClydeDoSomethin It’s not proximity to an ocean. It’s primarily the existence of cheap hydroelectric power. Also deep water ports to move the stuff. Do some research before you post stuff. That plant will not be economically viable and the US is already paying above global prices. 😂😂😂

@Baystboy @ClydeDoSomethin Aluminum is a strategic metal, so Trump wants production in the US. Period. The US is also restarting a number of coal fired generating plants, so they'll have lots of cheap, reliable electric power.

@ClydeDoSomethin Is he going to move the waterways those plants rely of for cheap energy and deep water ports as well? Goodness I can’t believe people are so stupid. There is a reason the US plants have all closed over the last 30 years. 😂😂😂

@wealthmoose As long as the legacy media reports something as "green", most of the population will absolutely believe it to be green.

The "Alto" project 🇨🇦 Canada’s $60B–$100B High-Speed Rail initiative..has become a massive flashpoint on social media as the public consultation phase wraps up (April 2024–2026). ALTO is being sold as “green.” Reality? 🌲 It clears forests. 🌊 Cuts through wetlands. 🦌 Disrupts wildlife. 🏗️ Burns billions in concrete, steel, and diesel. 📍And hands Canadians a $50B–$100B bill.💵 You don’t save the environment by bulldozing it first. 🇨🇦 Save the infographic below 👇 Follow @wealthmoose 💁🏻‍♂️ #Alto #HighSpeedRail #CdnPoli #Taxpayers #Sustainability

@TonyConner14066 @chuckcanuck60 @Martyupnorth Is it that easy? Could 100M Indians do the same, straight from getting off the plane? Would they instantly be Albertans? What makes Alberta so great? Is it oil? Saudi Arabia has a lot of oil.

When you make your whole identity about hating Ottawa, you do things like tell factory workers from a blue collar and very conservative area to learn to code, just because they're in Ontario. One wonders if they would rather stay in Confederation to feel normal.
Martyupnorth®- Unacceptable Fact Checker@Martyupnorth

They can learn to code. That's what the Liberals have been telling Alberta's oil workers for the last 15 years. Zero sympathy, you get the government you deserve.

@hobbymechanic @chuckcanuck60 @Martyupnorth Alberta is the sole remanent of what used to be a great country called Canada. People in ON can either move here and get a job or stay where they are, and cry about how tough they have it. Or perhaps fix the mess in ON? The choice - as always - is yours to make. Have a great day!

🚨🇺🇸 President Donald Trump reportedly offering cold hard CASH to Albertans to vote for independence? Former Premier Jason Kenney is sounding the alarm, claiming a massive bribery scheme is in play to pull Alberta out of Canada and into the U.S. orbit. 🇺🇸🇨🇦 Is the "Free Alberta" movement about to get a billion-dollar boost from across the border? The geopolitical map of North America is being rewritten in real-time. 🇨🇦🇺🇸 #Alberta #CASH #DonaldTrump #JasonKenney #Wexit #Canada #Trump

@JonFlynnREstats And inflation. The price of everything - insurance, taxes, utilities, groceries, gasoline, etc - has increased. And all while the value of your house has probably dropped. What a mess for a lot of people.

The stress test forced you to qualify at 5.25% when rates were 1.59% It was a one-time stress test at origination & protected you from the rate shock What’s testing you at renewal is how much extra non-mortgage debt you’ve taken on since then

We went from a 24-48 hour "little excursion" to "All the time in the world" & "don't rush me we were in Vietnam for 18 years". Only 2 months to get here. Meanwhile, Trump's Presidency goes down the tube, and he'll have a recession/depression/famine for a legacy. For what?

Launch Pads are always built far away from people and homes because of the danger. The Co-director of the Outer Space Institute said "one drop of hydrazine in an Olympic-sized swimming pool would kill anything in that pool."🧵 cbc.ca/news/canada/no…
