Here’s Ben Stein in 1979 describing television as an engine of cultural demoralization. He argues that a small clique of producers and writers pushed a left-coded inversion of reality onto the public. They despised traditional power centers and hated figures like Buckley. They propagandized the nation into accepting a fake world where businessmen are villains, criminals are the good-guys, small towns are sinister, military officers are proto-fascists, and work barely exists.

In the 1970s Ben Stein interviewed major TV producers/writers to ask why their portrayal of US culture was so distorted. Businessmen were evil. Real life crime was always depicted inaccurately, favoring instead the Marxist narratives on race, class, and culture of the new left.

Citizens distrust for government isn't a situation peculiar to Nigeria, alone.
4 out of every 5 countries I've visited, the people have incredible disgust for their government but you see those countries - the people, esp young people are very clear who their enemies are.
And this where Nigeria exists in a class of its own.
The enemies who loot and pillage don't mind flaunting the spoils in your faces because they're in mesmerism of the jackpot they'd hit - the world's singular encampment of openair concentrated willing slaves.
And the ones who truly care about seeing change in their lifetime slowly realise:
To fight for Nigeria, you have to fight Nigerians.

Social mobility is essential for a stable and prosperous society.
Social mobility will decline if elites family continue to hold on to power, which in turn leads to revolution. Sub-Saharan people just defy all logic or maybe too complacent to fight for thier fundamental rights

You will send money to your parents, support your siblings, spend on your partner because you cannot love without giving, cover your transport and feeding, sort one or two stuff at home, send money to your guys(male and female), tip your security, tip your waiter, tip policeman, show love to the person or people you are sleeping with, show love to agbero because relationship in low places also matter.

I think Seyi Tinubu is a more horrible person than his father. Because he is young and he sees the struggle of the poor people he is sharing food to. He knows, he knows that meal cannot last them one week. But he is sharing it knowing he has done nothing to impact them.
