@PeterDJMain We've been doing a lot of work with digital twins for assets, work sites and more. Sounds like similar goals. Helium offers proof of location/proof of presence, it's the missing link for depin to work. Right now we're focused on validating data.

But how do we enable this globally and securely? I've been toying with an idea: what if we had a kind of digital twin metadata passport?

The interesting thing about connecting to a Hotspot is that it bridges the digital and physical worlds. Could this be the foundation for an autonomously responsive society? Could ‘proof-of-presence’ be cryptographically used a way to have the environment alter for you?

@JB3RG_ @helium Its a very good use case, we actually have a location engine live that uses helium hotspots: v2-api.trackpac.io/docs#/LoRaWAN%… . Not sure the new subDAO is that though as it was said its a new outside team. You can listen into the IOT WG call to hear more from Joey

Sounds to me like a solid long-term use case for the @helium IoT network. PoL (Proof of location) is limited in hardware devices that rely on GPS location. They can simply be spoofed. Hans is on to something 🤔 we've all been thinking it. 🐝 Hivemapper example: hivemapper.com/blog/how-hivem…
