If no railway company that wants to run night trains is strong enough to make an order for new trains on their own, could a consortium of private and state operators be a way forward?

@TrainsForEurope @googlemaps I finally got a reply for google maps in a direct message. They said they are working on a fix and i should stay tuned.
Let's wait and see how google maps will improve their public transport services

@googlemaps @TrainsForEurope It's still not fixed. For example Koln stainstation. In the google maps android app all the train lines are cut off after ca. 40km. Can you fix this so all the train lines are shown till their endpoint? Would be helpful. Thanks

@DieLicaon1 @TrainTracksEU @TrainsForEurope Über die redet doch Jon auch gar nicht, sondern es geht darum, es kleinerern Firmen, die wollen, aber allein nicht können, den Markteintritt oder eine Expansion zu erleichtern.

@jenscer @HSchlaupitz Yep it's a misrepresentation. Germany will not subsidise night trains, but getting a path isn't too hard. Trafikverket totally messed up its procurement of the Malmö-Brussels train, and blamed (wrongly) it on the lack of subsidy in Germany.

@TrainTracksEU @DieLicaon1 1) ÖBB had 33 neue NightJets, jeweils mit 7 Wagen, bestellt. 231 Wagen. Das ist die hälfte von was wir brauchen.
2) ÖBB will Routen wie Köln-Warschau oder Amsterdam-Marseille nicht betrieben - wer tut das?
3) Partnerschaft ÖBB-SBB deutlich tiefer für Nachzüge als mit DB oder SNCF

@GuSv01 Regions in Sweden jointly own Transitio that handles this for regional trains in Sweden indeed. Make a kind of international equivalent! :-)

Regional rail operators in Sweden do this all the time iirc?
(not for sleeper cars, but that's not the important part of course)
