@abarone68 call the 9bb is not bad either if utg is crazy wide I guess and we also think he is so proposterously wide on 4B jam that we can call (eg; people carried away in bounty tourneys).

Had this doozy of a hand yesterday with 6 left in the $250 Sunday Super Classic. Chipleader opens UTG, 13 BB stack in HJ makes it 9 BBs, and I have the dreaded POCKET JACKS. Hand seems too strong to fold, but do we want to jam? I wasn't sure. Thought that it might be best to play our entire continuing range as a call. So that's what I did. Folded back to the chipleader who SHOVES. Now what? Payouts 1st: ~$36,000 2nd: ~$27,000 3rd: $21,877 4th: $16,870 5th: $13,008 6th: $10,031

I played 500,000+ hands of NL cash games last year. I pulled the data to see which starting hands made the most money. One result completely surprised me. 🧵 Top 10 most profitable hands

@VanjaPoker looking back, seems like 7534 tournies for TOTAL roi of 77.2% in the micros vs those fields Vs 44.9% ROI in the $0-$1k buyins (43.4 in the tougher 100 to 1k fields) Same basics used all fields, with some adjustments to the micro stakes punters "that call everything"

Poker players get this wrong all the time: Beginners think good players are easier to beat bc they’re more predictable than fish. It’s the opposite. Weak players have obvious leaks & make tons of pure mistakes. Build solid fundamentals & exploit weak players properly.

@WPN_CEO I find it's great just doing anything on the tough days. I'm happy if I showed up and anything happened, sometimes it even turns into a great workout!

Do you work out before the Sunday grind? I am not sure if Sundays should be my workout day off so I can grind but I think I might be tired at the 6-8 hours later What do you think?

@jaredgriener @kwansfull @SavagePoker If they clearly tabled their cards to the dealer, I will always speak up so that the right thing is done. If someone doesn't table their cards, I won't say a word, and let the person who showed their hand win. In fact, I'm all for a shotclock on people tabling their hands 😂

Interesting spot here. Huge ft. Experienced player mucks his hand not realizing it’s a chop. No one says anything before it hits the muck, then players try to chime in & I say it’s out of line for anyone to say anything. @kwansfull disagrees with me, what say you? @SavagePoker

@tonydunsttv Poker is doing just fine right now. I'd say the political situation in America and the crazy inflation in Vegas might start having an influence, and I'd take the unders now, where the upwards trend had previously seemed great.

@MTT_Data_Review Do you think it would employ a limp if offered? Spot is somewhat similar to a heads up spot with an ante > bb ante. So I'd imagine if u have limp it's a pure vpip, and kills some of the shove option. Same as what happens when we do this sort of thing in heads up with BB ante?

And this is the SB response. As you can see we like much bigger 3b sizes than in standard SB vs BTN spot because we are ending the action therefore 3betting more polar. We also jam extremely polar vs the 85 % RFI range, similar combos like what is used in Heads-Up. (2/2)

BTN preflop range when the BB is sitting out. Fairly common spot in online tournaments (or live if someone is enjoying their dinner break a little too much) and while we all know we should raise a lot more often, I have never seen anyone actually run a sim for that. This can be run super quickly in the new @GTOWizard preflop solver, so here is 40bb BTN open: (1/2)
