Keep it simple (top-down trading): 1. What is the market doing? 2. What are groups doing? 3. What are the stocks within the group doing? Where is money flowing into and out of? Most importantly, what is the path of least resistance? Trading shouldn't feel hard. Don't fight the market and the tape.

PORTFOLIO UPDATE 03/18 $LITE $GEV Hey guys, The market was not ready to march higher, as we got rejected at the declining 21dma-structure on NQ today, making another lower high in the structure. We closed back below yesterday's low, which confirms a downside reversal as well. MCSI hooked back down, negating the possible breadth expansion attempt that led me to engage yesterday. VIX & Credit Spreads confirm upside reversals, which does not give a good picture to this market right now, despite the potential of that higher low structure that was present yesterday. Sellers were waiting at the daily structure, and they showed up today. I closed down most of my new exposure, but kept LITE/GEV for 16% exposure. If they can't act well tomorrow, I might be back to cash. I still have 1%+ cushion on this cycle attempt from yesterday, but I'll be quick to protect that breakeven line tomorrow in case the market follows through lower. Cheers HAGN!! Sometimes the overall market bottoms the same week leading stocks start to emerge, other times the best stocks bottom earlier. As with anything in the markets, there's no set rules for anything. Be adaptable and open-minded.

Qullamaggie shows Buying During Market Corrections “When you look back before commenting on anything, like, study hundreds or even thousands of historical examples. You really don’t get the feel for the market, like what was happening at the time, like what was the sentiment, what was the — did it show relative strength? Stuff like that. Like, these things matter. Like, relative strength really matters. If you trade breakouts, that’s when the best times to buy stock is — when the market had a correction, like this 5-10% corrections in an uptrend. Those are the best times. Like, for example, like we got the correction from like early September, and the good time to buy stocks was here like mid-September. But there was a lot of stocks starting to break out even before a market turned higher. Then the market pulled back. A lot of those setups did fail — not all of them. But here like early November, that’s where I started going heavy because there were so many five-star setups early to through mid-November. There were so many things, like something like ROKU, right? Look at the breakout this thing had. TTD — this thing. This one I traded, this one I bought. I bought this breakout. Yeah, SPWR. This one I totally messed it up, totally messed it up. Look at this thing. This thing is now more than a double from this high tight flag break. This is what you get. Look at this thing. This thing held up when the market was pulling back. This thing was flagging like. This is why I really don’t like buying breakouts in a market like this that has been grinding higher. It’s just — it’s easier to get conviction when a market has been showing weakness, and you clearly see stocks that are showing relative strength.”
