@DCHighlander Hi Deb. Would those originally infected aphids, without a cc in the area, go to the newly planted winter wheat? Or would they die off without a cc in the area before the new winter wheat crop is planted?

Barley Yellow Dwarf Virus (Red Leaf) in cc oats. Transmitted to oats by infected aphids. More aphids feed on infected oats then travel and feed on nearby wheat. Transmitting BYDV to the wheat crop. It’s called a “Bridge”. A host between 2 hosts that wouldn’t otherwise overlap.

Really nice cover crop growth. But should we be rotating cover crops? Heavy rust and aphid pressure. Seems like we are making a “good” home for some problems down the road.

@KenSchaus Hi Ken. What was the rough cost per acre for this? We drilled some beans into a failed forage rye crop this spring (too thin to take for forage) and it drilled beautifully. Beans went 65 bushels on it.

@BDuchek My Boomtrac pro 2 did same shit .. was amazing year 1 like wow good .. now I dunno if it was an update or what but it’s fucking junk! .. tech told me to always run in canopy mode .. it helped but still disappointing from what it was ..

Anybody having issues with their BoomTrac 2 boom height controller while dessicating? Never had better boom height control in the spring but now it’s the absolute worse I have ever sprayed with. My booms are just like a teeter totter on the back. #AgTwitter

@jzantinge2 @driscoll_neil @EverettHuberts Might have been. Didn’t roll first bean fields cause of poor conditions, wanted to push down stones and smooth it out for the combine. Definitely broke a few off, time will tell

Looking for advice on rolling emerged beans. Didn’t roll bean ground this spring due to less than idea conditions. I’ve heard roll when beans hit first trifoliate and it’s a warm day. We have a 30 inch diameter roller and a 42 inch. Which would be best to use in this situation?
