Uncharacteristic performance from us today. As Valyn said in the press conference we had 3 of our players dealing with bad flu symptoms this week. We did everything we could to speed up recovery but it wasn’t enough. FUT tomorrow for lower bracket run

@TrickVAL They should've been better and beaten g2 to get first seed then. See how ridiculous that suggestion sounds? Just like this tweet you made

Imagine being NRG in this event. #1 - The timezone change with just a few days to adjust is pretty brutal, especially when EWC was at 9:00 PST at its latest. Example: In NA for optimal performance starting at 5 PM PST: you would wake up 12:00 PM PST. This is the same as waking up at 8:00 PM in london (8 hour difference) So within a few days, they had to do a complete 180 on the sleep schedule, fly across the world, get everything set up and catch up on sleep etc. Just in terms of performance this is just far from optimal. #2 - No time to adjust to the new meta With the meta completely changing, no time to prep new ideas comps etc. Literally 3-5 prac days at max to do so, you cannot prep 6-7 maps in 3-5 days of practice so any big changes are just dice rolls. LEV was in a similar situation which is probably why they got anti-d so hard in some rounds. #3 - Every team that was not playing recently had maximum time to change how they are playing, create new ideas for pistols, bonus, r3s etc. Or just adjusting basic macro, NRG having no time means every single VOD they have is going to show alot of the gameplan making them super easy to counter. Its not end all be all, but genuinely a nightmare scenario to go into a masters with a nerfed performance individually just based on that timezone shift, a complete meta change & no time to prep anything.

@yaotziN Idk I don’t pay enough attention to know if this happens all the time or not it’s just something I saw, idk why regions would be at different times before masters

@TrickVAL I mean - its the case for every event no? Valorant esport is a lot as about skill, but also schedule, luck, bracket and so on. Its never 'the same' for all teams

Same boat as LEV, the dumbest person u know thinks this is cope. 4-5 max prac days for a new meta on 7 maps. In a completely different region + travel obviously you wanna win and its not 100% the reason, but anyone who thinks this is not an INSANE disadvantage is an idiot

@Hampterzzz yeah, the key aspect of this is the vertical difference enables it to be slightly better than normal usage of this since u can face the smoke from lower, normally on level ground u cant face it straight on

@stormVALORANT the lower you go without them being able to see you the more effective the one way, if u throw too low / off center since its a sphere they can see u or itll be high and lose potency, still works tho on the fly

@TrickVAL how specific do you have to be when throwing it though, like if i want to throw it quick and i don’t use the lineup is it still able to be done or is the one way fucked up
