Disconnect Protection: If your connection drops, your stream won’t immediately end. Your viewers will see a BRB screen for up to 90 seconds while you reconnect. This helps prevent streams from ending when reception dips, and provides a better experience for your community.

Multitask while streaming: You can now use other apps on your phone while live. Your stream continues in picture-in-picture so you can check messages, maps, or notifications without ending your broadcast.

One size fits all enforcement doesn't really work, so we are making changes. Hey Nate, the relevant team has looked into this and your account has been reinstated. Although the team tries to take into account factors that may indicate conversation is between friends/long term-community members, the best way to avoid confusion is ensuring you're not typing anything that may be misconstrued.

70/30 split was not taken away. Creators that were grandfathered into 70/30 were moved to Level 2, there's no requirements for these creators.

Twitch has informed creators who were previously under guaranteed legacy 70/30 sub-split contracts that they have been moved to the Plus Program. For now, they retain a 70% split on subs, though it's unclear whether this is in perpetuity.

We have longstanding agreements with a limited number of streamers who have been with Twitch since its early days. We are honoring these historical contracts and we are not changing payout structure or requirements to sustain their payout structure with this change. Today's change is a backend technical update to migrate everyone to the same system to help us streamline payouts.

🛠️ We have resolved the issue causing some past broadcast VODs to be corrupted upon creation. Some VODs that started during this issue between 6PM and 10PM PST on Thursday 12th of Feb may still be affected.

📣 Streamers and mods can now delete their own chat messages on web when needed. (Coming soon to mobile) ⚔️ We've also fixed a bug so that Lead Mods can now delete chat messages from regular mods.
