Today a significant moment in U.S. Army history occurred at the Fort Jackson Basic Combat Training Museum as the Drill Sergeant bush hat was formally retired from service. This change honors a piece of Army heritage while modernizing for future effectiveness.

New Year, same mission: create the next generation of @USArmy Soldiers prepared to dominate on the modern battlefield. Trainees will now be greeted with a single headgear, the campaign hat, as the Army has standardized the uniform for all Drill Sergeants. army.mil/article/289855

Thousands of new US Army recruits have begun returning home in time for some Christmas cheer. The trainees arrived at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, and were given gift bags before their flights out
