There’s such a great systematic breakdown of this to be written as Ryan alludes to. On so, so many levels what City (and Chelsea) did has destroyed the game and there’s a large amount of culpability to be placed with those who celebrated it as some sort of zenith.

Manchester City’s almost 2 decade long financial doping and cheating the system has stolen titles away from honest teams, it’s stolen titles, trophies, cup finals, European places, vital revenue, it’s stolen fans who would have supported clubs like United, Arsenal or in Buvey’s case Bristol Rovers. Seeing media outlets openly celebrate these “achievements” from Manchester City just makes me feel like this sport is further and further away from being whole again. What Manchester City (and Chelsea) have done to the beautiful game should never be forgiven.
