Are you kidding? US expansion dwarfs Russia? Since 2008: 2008: Russo-Georgian War - Russia invaded Georgia and recognized the independence of the breakaway regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia 2014: Annexation of Crimea - Russia illegally annexed Crimea 2014-Present: Conflict in Eastern Ukraine - Russia has provided military, financial, and logistical support to separatist groups in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions 2015-Present: Military Presence in Syria - Permanent military bases in Tartus and Khmeimim 2022: Full-Scale Invasion of Ukraine All of these were Russia expanding its territorial boundaries. Now, I have problems with US interventionism in some instance, especially during this same time period. But the US wasn't set on expanding its own territory. Unlike Russia which is set swallowing its neighboring countries.

I’m not trying to get you on your age. I’m just saying I’ve been there and you really have nothing. Sure, we do get more animated about US expansion. This might have something to do with the fact that we are Americans, US expansion dwarfs Russia’s, the US is the most powerful government in the history of the world and the never ending wars are degrading our country.

With an incoming AG who thinks the FBI should interrogate students protesting the war in Gaza and the incoming FBI director that says Americans need to "wake up and prioritize Israel", this should be a cautionary tale that freedom of speech needs to be fought for and defended no matter which party is in power. Americans must be allowed to criticize the actions of a foreign government, particularly one we fund with billions of dollars annually, or we will quickly lose free speech and, quite frankly, even more national sovereignty
