@acnewsitics you dare call our Bill That Makes It Illegal To Murder People Named Josh In The Kitchen On A Tuesday a waste of time and money like what are your motives are you pro-Joshicide?
English

Republicans invented a problem just so they could pretend to solve it. Performance politics at its finest.
Lovable Liberal and his Old English sheepdog@DougWahl1
MAGA IS SOLVING PROBLEMS, YOU DIDN'T KNOW WE HAD! Rep Mary Miller (R IL) has introduced a bill that would ban strippers from performing in schools. When asked how often this has happened.. she was unable to name on reported case. Your thoughts?
English

@CantEverDie we had charlie kirks mentor die in a freak pickleball accident please give it a minute
English

@mattparlmer tesla engineers no longer even say anything when you ask them how elons 'pure vision' approach is going, they just look at you like this

English

@Kamuiis_tail 'but why does a spaceship need legs'
gawd to kick the other spaceships in their spaceship butts like come on its not that complicated
English

@CantEverDie [talking to a rightwinger] heyyy buddy i cant help but notice the rate at which you unpromptedly insert your views on the age of consent into casual conversation is pretty high
[the rightwinger, a glint in his eye] you know what else is pretty high
English

nazis never waste an opportunity to admit they’re pedophiles too

GDP, like age, is just a number. GDP in Florida is up 85% in 10 years. Is anyone 85% better off? Of course not. As Governor, I will never worship GDP, and instead focus on what matters: can you and your family afford life.
English

@OGNMeanGerman @maumesart and if youre asking me, thats a lot more interesting of a connotation for a type to have than ''is just one of the flavors like that these critters come in, like bug or water''
though, again, i see the merit, especially for scalability
English

@Unsplarfable @maumesart They make these types hard to acquire anyway. They have low encounter rates or are off the beaten path in many games. Some games do this better than others. In BW unless you go to the optional Mistralton Cave, you're not running into a single wild Dragon until Dragonspiral.
English

I lowkey love the idea of some types being rare like this, even more when they didn’t had several weaknesses like they do today.
Pokemon Nostalgia@pokemon_nost
Fun fact: these were the only Dragon and Ghost-type Pokémon in Gen 1 & 2
English

@OGNMeanGerman @maumesart different preference, then
dont get me wrong, i see the benefit
personally though, i adore the feeling of having different types at different rarities
like a dragon or a ghost become a bit more special when youre not already used to seeing them in every third patch of grass
English

@Unsplarfable @maumesart I'm not a fan of whole types being rare and unique. The same can be accomplished with certain Pokemon. Dragonite or Gengar don't become lame because Flygon or Banette are in the game. They're powerful and interesting because of their designs and stats.
English

@EPeen1273352 @maumesart were probably talking abt different times
when i say early steel i mean like gen 2 or 3
where, yeah, there were strong steel types for sure - but for every skarmory youd have a mawile or an aron
like even scizor didnt become a menace until steel had a priority move added
English

@OGNMeanGerman @maumesart yeah, same as dragon
my point is it wouldve been interesting to see them take it in a 'rare type' direction similar to dragon/ghost in the early days, where its great defensive profile can be managed by keeping it a select few guys
wouldve had a bit more of an identity yknow
English

@Unsplarfable @maumesart Steel has always been too good defensively and fucks over the weaker types. Poison and Psychic if anything should be strong against Steel. Psychics are known to bend steel easily, and strong acids corrode steel well. There should at least be a Freeze Dry variant for Poison.
English

@RealZego my complaint abt mewgenics is that you can feel that its progression was built around a very particular idea of what pace & order you do things in - but imo the game does a bit too little to indicate or incentivise you actually do them in that order, leading to friction like this
English
