Mom would have been 94 today, but she never would have admitted it! It’s a strange day for us, because we should be with her, laughing, arguing, singing, and celebrating her. We miss her terribly but smile when we think of her. We loved her—even more than we could have ever realized before. As the most awarded woman in country music, her life was a gift to the genre and the fans. She’s worth celebrating. The day she was born was a great day for the music we love! We hope you crank it up all day long! Happy Birthday, Mom!

Nuclear power in space for propulsion and energy production is much different than terrestrial based units where mass boiling water is the primary function. Space based products must be smaller, lighter and can function independently for decades, as noted with the Voyager 1 and 2 spacecrafts. Now, scaling those models to last longer, with more thrust and power is what I believe to be the future. Plopping a reactor on the moon or Mars could ultimately prove to be what saves mankind from perpetual boredom watching Star Trek reruns. Can NASA do it? Can a modular 500MW reactor be built that run autonomously for 10 years? As for propulsion, my theory is to use a fission reactor to create a controlled fusion and directed fusion reaction for thrust. Similar to a hydrogen bomb, but spread out over many years. Someone else can worry about braking.

I must say, these events need to be handled gingerly. I paid to attend an LDS conference at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas and there was a mass shooting a month later there. The event wasn’t organized by the Church but rather some token wannabe, like this guy, rolling into town like Charlie Kirk expecting to run the place.
