Elijah Hollands was the victim of a mental health episode and not under the influence of drugs during his erratic performance against Collingwood last night. There needs to be public outcry to ensure those responsible are held to account. Carlton FC and their senior officials have not provided a duty of care and should be held liable.

@marnievinall The situation should have been dealt with before it got to where it has. Senior officials, club doctors, coaches etc have a responsibility for player welfare. They did nothing. Heads should roll.

You can’t in the same breath talk about mental health and how it’s ok to not be ok and make Elijah Hollands the butt of very unsavoury jokes.
The vision of him was undeniably concerning and like Voss said, the situation should be treated with sensitivity and care.
