@VRustine @RdRp_Summit Unironically viruses are 100% a form of life, and so are Tranposable Elements. What we're taught in school is so ego-centric: we put our form of life in the middle of the living-universe and progressively exclude things unlike us.

In this particular case tho, it's all about definitions, I don't see the matter of having a cellular-based definition as long as we have other terms to define non-cellular entities and aknowledge their importance...
