Following repeated executions of male opponents of the barbaric Iranian regime, it is now reported that a group of female political prisoners are to be executed by hanging. They are: Bita Hemmati Ghazal Ghalandari Golnaz Naraghi Venus Hossein Nejad Panah Movahedi Ensieh Nejati Mahboubeh Shabani Diana Taher Abadi The group is reported to include two teenagers. Their crime? To speak out and protest against the regime’s atrocities and to demand freedom and democracy. In a letter to me, Foreign Office Minister @JennyChapman describes the use of executions as “abhorrent.” @UKHouseofLords Foreign Secretary @YvetteCooperMP should urgently condemn this barbarism at the UN Security Council @sec_council
