Day 8: Warning! If you don’t want game spoilers, pause the video below! 🎮😼🏆 Developing an intern-themed game for the Mantle Spring Creative Marathon. To the @Mantle_Official team: you asked for originality, so I went 100%! Here is my creation! Today I finally managed to host a playable version on GitHub. It’s available to play at the link below: gitvander.github.io/MantleGame/ I’ll keep the repository public for anyone interested in taking a look, giving feedback, or improving the code. For now, I’m temporarily calling it “Mantle Adventure.” If anyone has a more creative name, feel free to suggest it in the comments 😂 It took 8 long days of work to build everything from scratch: Story > Image editing > Code > SFX add > vfx add > Delivery. I’ll use this version as my contest entry because there are only a few hours left before the deadline, and there’s no more time to develop new mechanics in a stable way. I've been using AI models and AI coding heavily for the last few months. Here are 4 key areas I've learned so far: 1. First principles thinking: AI is only as good as the person who is able to discern truth from hallucinations. For that you need to understand the key logic principles and intuition behind the problem you asked AI to solve so that you can easily verify and debug the output. 2. Master your human body and mental health: Computers operate 24/7 unlimited, but humans have biological system limits. Knowing the edge of your limits is critical for necessary boundaries needed for biological rest. 3. Context is your IP: Build up your arsenal of skill.md files, insert key knowledge that you know the public domain is wrong at. Every edge you have that the public gets wrong is now more valuable than before. 4. Use cheap models, gain operational intelligence Instead of simply defaulting into Claude code or Codex, why not try the Chinese models at 1/10th the price. Burn tokens like crazy and realize how wasteful or silly some workflows are. The goal is to be in a position for experimental learning through wasting tokens. Once confidence is gained go to the expensive models. Let me know if you have more to share.
